Missy B

Missy B Stitchin is who Missy Billingsley is. She is always busy stitching or creating something. Her husband says she can't sit still and has to keep her hands busy all the time.

As a young girl growing up, Missy wasn't too interested in sewing. It wasn't for the lack of trying by her Mom. She made all of her dresses for school dances, many other outfits, all kinds of crafy things and even got her brother sewing. He actually won an award in high school for his sewing skills. He was named home ec student of the year. How cool is that!!  Now, Missy and her Mom have come full circle. Missy has now been sewing for more than 20 years and her Mom has become the student.

You may have seen Missy at a sewing event somewhere around the country or perhaps on tv. She travels around the country teaching classes on sewing, serging, embroidery, and software for Baby Lock USA. She specializes in heirloom sewing by machine and serger. She teaches regularly at the Martha Pullen School of Art Fashion, Celebration or Love of Heirloom sewing events with Martha, Baby Lock retailers and various sewing related events across the country. Missy is a Martha Pullen Licensed Teacher who has appeared on Martha's Sewing Room, many times. She is also a Sulky Certified Instructor and has been featured in Sew Beautiful Magazine, Creative Expressions Magazine and Creative Machine Embroidery and Quilting Magazine.

Missy lives in the panhandle of sunny Florida with her husband, Billie. She enjoyes making jewelry in her spare time and she loves animals but with her busy travel schedule, the neighbors dogs have to suffice. It is hard to take great danes on an airplane. :)
